Objectives
FACCT aim to expose the aims of the Tory party regarding their plans to repeal the Hunting Act. We are appealing to the public not to vote Conservative as, should they win the next general election, it is more than likely that hunting with dogs will become legal once more. This would mean the return of fox hunting, hare coursing, mink hunting and stag hunting.
FACCT aim to encourage nation-wide press coverage, via letters and press releases, to expose the Tory aims to repeal the Hunting Act. We aim to ensure the public are aware that many members of the CA are now Tory MP's and key figures in the Tory party. We also aim to expose pro hunting MP's and those who would not vote against a repeal of the Hunting Act.
We will be regularly protesting peacefully at Conservative MP's surgeries so local voters will be aware of the Conservatives’ aim to repeal this act. We are asking other like minded people and campaign groups get involved in our campaign and raise awareness of the campaign in their own areas.
FACCT’s main objective is, of course, to prevent the Conservatives gaining office and therefore prevent a repeal of the Hunting Act. We aim to expose the secrecy that the Tories have regarding the repeal being one of first priorities should they gain power.
Hunting with dogs is an abhorrent activity which was criminalised with good reason. We aim to make the public aware of the absolute cruelty involved. We aim to show Tory MP's that we will not allow this barbarity to become legal again without a fight and to gain public support against a repeal of the Hunting Act.
