How You Can Help

There are many ways of helping with the campaign from writing letters to local papers or your local Conservative MP to attending demonstrations. Whether part of a group or on your own, you can make a difference in your area with relatively little effort.

Write to your Local Conservative MPs and PPCs

One of the first things to do is to write to your local Conservative MPs/PPCs and scertain their views on hunting with dogs. We have provided sample letters which you can use if you wish.

Write to your Local paper

Another great tool is local papers' letters sections. These are read by many different people and are a good way to get the message out there that David Cameron is not only pro-hunt but has vowed to repeal the ban. We have also created sample letters for you to send to local press.

It can be more difficult to have letters printed in National papers, though this is always worth a try as well. if nothing else, it makes the editors realise that there is an interest in stories relating to the issue of the Conservatives and hunting.

Demonstrations

Demonstrating outside the offices of Conservative MPs is also a very effective way of making local people aware of the links between the Conservatives and Hunting. The majority of people are against hunting because of the animal cruelty involved, so making the public aware that voting Conservative means a vote for hunting can be enough to ensure that they do not get re-elected.  Leafletting

Another fantastic way to spread the message is to leaflet door to door. Whether you can do a few houses or a few hundred, it makes a big difference. You can spread the message to hundreds of people in just a few hours and this kind of campaigning is ideal if you are unable to form a local group to campaign against a repeal of the Hunting Act.

We have literature available for street stalls, demonstrations, leafletting door to door or giving to friends. All of this is free of charge, though donations are always needed to ensure our campaign against hunting can continue.
